BayDad

Hi, I’m Steve, your BayDad administrator.

BayDad is a blog about being a dad in the San Francisco bay area.  We’ve got several local Bay Area techie-dad authors, and we’ve created this as a place for us to share ideas with each other, and with other Silicon Valley working dads.

This is a place for us to celebrate Silicon Valley as a great place to raise kids and have a career.  We’ve got great weather, nice parks, and tons of fun outdoor activities.  We also have jobs, Blackberries, blogs, personal websites, and dorky projects in our limited free time.

BayDad will be focused on things like the following:

• Being a techie working dad. (How do you manage? Secrets, tips? Stay at home? Work full time? Work part time?)
• Good places to take kids on weekends. (Gilroy Garlic Festival, Doof-a-palooza, Art & Wine faires, your favorite park or pool, …)
• Good places to take the kids every day. (Mercy/Bush park, Rinconada Pool, Vasona County Park, Rancho San Antonio, Roaring Camp Railroad, …)
• Fun techie dad products. (Cool strollers, best toy stores around, BPA-free bottles, GPS wristbands, hip trikes,…)
• Other random dad-type musings about kids, family, life, or anything.
• How do you manage your relationship? Babysitters? Date night? Something else?
